Membership
The Kapiti Coast Photographic Society is open to anyone with an interest in the art of photography. The Society is affiliated to the Photographic Society of New Zealand (PSNZ). KCPS is a fully incorporated Society and complies with the requirements of the Charities Act 2005. If you would like to, you can download the Rules of KCPS (pdf).
Grades
Details of the different membership grades – Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced – and the mechanism for progressing through them can be found at this link here (pdf file).
Subscriptions
The membership fees are:

A couple living at the same address | $85.00 |
A junior, under 19 at school or under 25 and a full time student | $35.00 |
There is a discount of $5.00 for each member who is also a member of PSNZ. |
These fees apply to memberships taken out before the 1st of July and after the 31st October in any year. In the former case membership lasts until the current year end, and in the latter case membership lasts until the end of the following year.
For memberships taken out between 1st of July and 31st of October the fees above are halved and the membership expires at the end of the year. The PSNZ membership discount remains unchanged at $5.

Meetings
Club meetings are twice a month from February to November. We meet on the second and fourth Mondays at 7:30 pm in the Otaihanga Boating Club, 19 Makora Road, Otaihanga. The Development Group (oriented to post processing and general improvement of members’ skills) meets on the first Monday of every month from March to November, in the same venue. You are most welcome to come along and meet us even if you’re not yet a member of the Society.
