Nine club members enjoyed a fun and interesting convention in Whanganui last weekend, hosted by the Whanganui Camera Club. A highlight was the salon, where the club and individual members did very well.
Our interclub sets won in both print and digital, and Nicola McGinty won the Stratford Cup for her portrait “Behind the Mask”, judged best print from all the interclub print entries.
Here’s our president, Alison Viskovic after Vonnie Cave presented her with the Palmerston Cup for prints and the Wanganui Cup for digital.
The winning print and digital sets:

KCPS Print Set – images from Nicola McGinty, Neil Gordon, Hugh Scott, Susie Whelan, Jo Goudsblom and Alison Viskovic

KCPS Digital Set – images from Caroline Ludford, Gavin Klee, Carol Molineux, Neil Gordon, Jacky Challis and Helena Fierlinger
Individual honours were
- Carol Molineux – 3 Honours
- Susie Whelan – 2 Honours
- Neil Gordon – 2 Honours
- Caroline Ludford – 1 Honours
and five other members (Rhonda Billington, Jo Goudsblom, Teresa Angell, Alison Viskovic and Jacky Challis) also had images accepted.
The convention was very well organised, and everyone who went had a wonderful time. We plan to show some images from field trips, etc., at the next KCPS meeting on Monday 8 October.
